Haley and Jena first connected after months of quietly supporting each other from afar, passing clients back and forth and cheering each other on without ever meeting in person. When they finally met, the connection was instant. They quickly realized they shared the same goals, values, and drive to create something bigger than themselves.
Together, they combined more than 25 years of beauty and business experience, opened multiple storefronts near the Las Vegas Strip, and built several six-figure beauty brands from the ground up. Their shared success inspired them to create Sunless Sisters, a platform that helps spray tan artists and beauty professionals launch, grow, and scale their own businesses through education, mentorship, and retail collaboration.
Sunless Sisters is a community built on empowerment, creativity, and connection. It was designed to help women in the sunless industry not only perfect their craft but also achieve financial freedom, confidence, and purpose through collaboration and shared success.
Meet Haley Vasquez | Desert Sol Tan
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Haley’s journey began at the University of Arkansas, where she studied Education and discovered her passion for empowering others. That same drive soon led her into the beauty industry, where she found her purpose in helping women feel confident through the art of sunless tanning.
After graduating from Make-Up Designory’s Master Make-Up Artist Program, Haley refined her airbrush artistry and signature contouring technique that set her apart in the industry. Over the next six years, she managed three high-volume spray tan salons across the United States, mastering both the technical and operational sides of the business.
Now a licensed advanced esthetician, Haley offers luxury tanning and skincare services at The Desert Collective, her dream studio space near the Las Vegas Strip. Her passion lies in helping other spray tan artists and beauty professionals achieve balance, growth, and freedom through business education, mentorship, and community.
Meet Jena Huse | BaKD Sunless
Jena is originally from Orange County, California, and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles with a degree in Marketing. With $300, a spray tan tent, and a dream to create a better life for herself and her son, she founded A Spray of Rays, which quickly became one of Las Vegas’ most in-demand spray tan brands.
Through determination and heart, Jena built her company from the ground up while balancing the responsibilities of single motherhood. Her background in branding and marketing helped her grow her business with purpose and strategy, eventually expanding into product development, education, and mentorship for other beauty professionals.
Today, as the founder of BaKD Sunless, A Spray of Rays, and co-creator of Sunless Sisters and The Desert Collective, Jena dedicates her work to empowering other artists to build profitable, sustainable careers while staying true to their creativity and values. She believes that when women support one another, success multiplies and the entire industry rises.
